Butterscotch's Story

Butterscotch was found on the streets of San Antonio, Texas. His finder posted him on Pawboost and took care of him waiting for a loving person or family to step forward and claim him. When no one stepped up Butterscotch was rehomed, only for the husband to say he was allergic and then given to our rescuer in Texas.

This sweet boy just wants a home and people of his own. As a result he is a velcro dog and could use an ESH- Emotional Support Human. He wants to be held. Very food motivated. He is good with other dogs but has "little dog syndrome" so much prefers his humans. He doesn't really play with other dogs. Good with kids.

Butterscotch can be a Nervous Nellie in the car, so please hold him.

Butterscotch is an approximately 1-2 year (has all adult teeth and a little tartar), 4-5 pound Applehead Chihuahua.

Butterscotch is currently living in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting an adopter or open foster home in Colorado to bring him up and into their home- the next transport arrives January 9th!

***Butterscotch is being posted on behalf of our partner rescue in Texas- the process and adoption will go through them.
