butters's Story
Meet Butters!

Butters is a 1-year-old female terrier mix who is ready for a fresh start with a family committed to helping her continue building on everything she has learned.

Butters originally came into our rescue as a 5-month-old puppy and was adopted, but later returned due to behavioral challenges. Unfortunately, she did not receive the basic training and structure she needed during a pivotal stage of her development. We decided to give Butters the opportunity to reset and succeed by enrolling her in a month-long stay-and-train program focused on obedience, structure, and building better habits.

Butters has been doing very well in her training program and has made great progress! She loves her people and enjoys being close to those she trusts. However, she can become overwhelmed in busy or chaotic environments, so she would do best in a calmer, structured home.

Her ideal adopter will be committed to continuing her training and maintaining the consistency and boundaries she has learned. Her new family will also need to attend follow-up training sessions to learn the commands, tools, and techniques used during her stay-and-train program. This will help make her transition into her new home as successful as possible.

Butters has already put in a lot of work, and now she needs a family willing to continue that journey with her. With consistency, structure, and continued training, Butters has so much potential to thrive.

If you are looking for a young dog and are ready to be an active part of her continued success, Butters may be the perfect addition to your family!
