Butters's Story
My name is Butters, and let me tell you, life is pretty good. I'm a 6-year-old, 68-pound ball of sunshine, which makes sense because I'm a yellow lab. My favorite things? Toys, of course! Fetch is the best, and I could play tug-of-war all day long. Car rides are a close second, especially when I get to ride shotgun with the window down, letting the wind whip through my fur.

Now, I've lived with little humans before, and while I love them, I tend to get a *little* overprotective. So, my ideal home would be one without tiny ones. My foster mom says I need a patient person, someone who will work with my trainer. Good news is, I'm a super star when it comes to training!

I get along with other dogs, but I'm more of a chill companion than a playmate. If there's food or toys involved, I might get a bit possessive, so its best if I'm the only furry friend or if my human manages things carefully. My foster mom thinks I might have a bit of German Shepherd in me because I have this amazing workaholic attitude, but I also know how to relax and snuggle.

My biggest quirk? Meeting new people. It has to be done just right. If people are calm and settled, and then I'm introduced gently, I'm sweet as pie. I love to play and interact once I feel comfortable. I also have a slight issue with my feet being touched-lets just say I tolerate it, but its not my favorite activity. My foster will teach you all about my quirks, so I can live my best life with you.

I'm told I'm smart, and I definitely keep my people laughing. And while I haven't officially gone swimming, that doggy baby pool? Pure bliss! I love walks and jogs, but I'm just as happy to curl up on the couch. My foster family loves me dearly, and I'm going to miss them too, but I'm ready for my perfect forever home. Maybe that's yours?

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog.
