Buttercup 26C-244B's Story

Buttercup and her brother, Caddo, were orphaned when their human parent, who had loved them very much, died of cancer. There was no one else to help so both canines came to the Humane Society to find a new home. Caddo and Buttercup have the perfect Lab personalities: friendly, playful, just want to be close to live the adventure with you, enjoy chasing down a squeaky (especially the Christmas Elf), splashing in the doggy wading pool, and sharing the squeaky toy in a classic canine tug-a-war contest.

One-year-old Buttercup also enjoyed romping in the doggy wading pool but doesn’t have the SCUBA skills that her brother has. She is, of course, a little more ladylike and only splashed a modest amount of water out of the pool. Being a caring brother, we think that Caddo let Buttercup win a tug-a-war contest which allowed her to proudly give the Elf a tour of the bark park amenities. Buttercup shares her refined friendly smiles with everyone and lets you know of her gentle nature with a perfectly timed metronome tail wag. The fire hydrant was a source of curiosity that brave Buttercup investigated as Caddo cautiously looked on.

Whether together or singularly, Buttercup and Caddo are hoping for a forever home filled with kindness and love.
