Meet Butch Cassidy, a 2 year old 18 lbs. He spent more than six months roaming the streets of a small town with his sidekick, Sundance Kid. When Butch was finally live-trapped, he discovered just how wonderful life could be in a foster home.<br/>Regular meals, a warm bed, and plenty of TLC have shown Butch that people<br/>can be pretty great! Butch especially <br/>loves having a lap to curl up on and simply being around his humans. This sweet boy would make a wonderful companion dog but must go into a home with a very secure fence. He's patiently waiting for someone to give him the loving forever home he deserves. Butches adoption fee has been sponsored by one of our supporters with the rescue. . Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
