Butch's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

2 year old Butch is fully an absolute ham. He has two modes: playful and silly. Butch is happy, happy, happy and foster family doesn’t think his tail has stopped wagging the entire time he’s been in New York. While undeniably a total stud, he also is significantly overweight at 47 pounds. However, foster mama thinks that weight will be gone super quick with how active he is! This guy loves to play and frolic all day long! Butch is wonderful in his crate and seems to be housebroken. He is also extremely social with other dogs and enjoys to wrestle and play with the high-energy dog in the foster home.

Butch will need consistent exercise and portion-conscious feeding to continue to make strides with his health! He will also need a home that understands that beagles need daily enrichment to engage their sniffer! A beagle’s nose is their number one driver (besides their stomach) so a family that allows him walks/hikes/fun ways to get out there and explore is a must!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
