This 1-year-old Chihuahua mix was surrendered when his previous owner no longer wanted him, but that hasn’t dimmed his joyful spirit one bit. In fact, he may just be the happiest little guy you’ll ever meet.<br/><br/>Weighing just 12 pounds, Buster is a super happy, friendly, and incredibly versatile pup. He would do wonderfully with a family, a couple, or a single person — truly, he’s the kind of dog who fits beautifully into almost any home. All we really know for sure is that he is absolutely perfect.<br/><br/>Buster is snuggly, affectionate, and loves being near his people. He’s playful without being overwhelming and has a sweet, easygoing personality that makes him such a joy to have around. Whether it’s cuddle time on the couch or playtime with friends, Buster is all in.<br/><br/>He is fully potty trained and also comfortable using pee pads. He does not have accidents in the house, which has made his transition into foster care smooth and stress-free. He is also crate trained and has great leash manners.<br/><br/>Buster gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs. While he hasn’t been around cats yet in Wisconsin, he did fine with them in Georgia. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.<br/>2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.<br/>3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit.<br/>4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.<br/>5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.<br/>6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. note: if renting, please have your landlord write letter of approval for you to have a dog, including breed restrictions, and either send to muttlifeapps@gmail.com or submit document during application submission.? Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. ? Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. ?Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit.
