Buster's Story
Meet Buster! 💙
Buster is the biggest boy of the litter, currently weighing in at approximately 8–9 pounds, and he has the happiest personality to match. He is a joyful, affectionate puppy who absolutely lights up when he sees his foster mom and is always eager for love and attention.

Buster is right in the heart of his puppy-raising stage, which makes continued socialization incredibly important. His future family should be excited to help him experience new environments, people, and everyday situations in a positive and supportive way so he can grow into a confident adult dog.

He’s already off to a great start with both training and social skills. Buster has been socialized with dogs outside of his litter, does well with the cats in his foster home, and has been positively introduced to kids.

He is currently sleeping in a crate with the door open and is about 90% potty pad trained. He is also continuing to work on becoming comfortable with stairs and going outside to potty, and will benefit from patient, consistent guidance as he gains confidence.

Buster will do best with an adopter who understands that puppies require time, training, and structure — and who is ready to invest in his development during these important early months.

Buster will need to complete his vetting with Small Dog Rescue, so his adopter must be located in the Rochester, Minnesota area.

- Buster's adoption fee is $400 + MN sales tax.
- You must fill out an adoption application before you are allowed to meet the animal. Please complete the adoption application located on our website: https://smalldogsminnesota.org/adoption-application/
- Small Dog Rescue of MN does not negotiate the adoption fee on our dogs and we must charge sales tax on all adoption fees in order to comply with Minnesota state law. Please note that SDR is philosophically opposed to the idea of buying and selling animals, and we support any future legislation that would remove sales tax from adoption fees. Until then, however, it must be charged.
- Please note that we do not have a shelter, and all dogs are in foster homes. Since we strive to provide the best possible care for our animals, sometimes we cannot answer emails promptly.
