Buster's Story

I run Whispurring Hope Rescue in Dubuque Iowa; my husband and I adopted Buster from one of our rescued mamas’ litters. He has been with us since birth besides going to foster with mama at four weeks of age and then coming back to us at 8 weeks. Buster was born July 4th 2025 and is just a tad over a year old. Over the past few months my husband’s health has deteriorated, and we have recently found out that he has terminal and aggressive cancer. We are seniors and although it is devastating to let Buster go there is no logical way to keep him with us as we will be away often. Buster has just gone through two weeks of onsite training with a fabulous training center in Cascade Iowa for 2500 dollars. We are asking for $800 for his adoption fee. He loves other dogs and goes to boarding at least once a month and gets along well with our two cats. He is part blue heeler, so he does have herding in him but does well with his training. Buster needs an inside home; we will not allow for outdoor farm life. He is well loved by the boarding place that he goes to and very well loved by the training facility. He is a medium doodle. Please contact us directly at 563-451-5399 if you are interested in meeting him, you must also send in a pre-approval at whispurringhoperescue.weebly.com
