Sprinklers and hoses! ?<br/>• Loves to roll on his back and melt into belly rubs and booty scratches<br/>• Will do a silly trust fall into your arms once he knows you’re safe<br/>• He’s happy, playful, and so full of life — but only when he feels secure<br/><br/>Behavior & Training:<br/><br/>Buster is trained, but still needs a very structured and experienced home.<br/><br/>+ Crate-trained<br/>+ House-trained<br/>+ Knows basic commands, including sit and shake before meals<br/>+ Food motivated and thrives on routine<br/>+ Must be fed separately — he has resource guarding with food and should eat away from other pets and people<br/>+ Extremely gentle when taking treats<br/><br/><br/>Boundaries & Needs:<br/>• Slow to trust — especially with strangers and men<br/>• Bite history (from being crowded at an adoption event and officer not following the warning)<br/>• Cannot live in a high-traffic home<br/>• No young kids<br/>• May do well with calm, respectful dogs<br/>• Shows gentle interest in cats, but needs a slow, controlled intro and ongoing monitoring<br/>• Needs an adopter who will respect his space and never force interaction<br/><br/>His Ideal Home:<br/>• Adult-only, low-visitor household<br/>• Calm, structured, and free of chaos<br/>• Experience with behaviorally complex dogs required<br/>• Fenced yard ideal for hose play and decompression<br/>• Possibly a home with a calm, neutral dog, but must feed separately (slow introductions)<br/>• A human who understands that dogs like Buster don’t need to be perfect — they need to be safe<br/><br/><br/>Buster’s Journey So Far:<br/>• Rescued off the euth list after shelter stress took a toll<br/>• Healed from skin infections and gained healthy weight<br/>• Trained for nearly a year in a structured program<br/>• Learned trust, boundaries, and how to be part of a routine<br/>• Still growing, still learning — still worthy of love<br/><br/><br/>In His Words (If He Could Speak):<br/><br/>“Please don’t rush me.
