Busta's Story
Busta came to CCHS with the help of our friends in Otsego County. He was “picked up” on I-75 and brought to them as a stray. Although we don’t believe Busta was truly a stray or found on the side of the road, it doesn’t change the fact that his owners never came back for him.

Busta loves car rides and did phenomenal on his trip back to Cheboygan! Even though he’s a big boy at 65 pounds, he wanted to make sure trainer Tracy knew that he’s still a lap dog at heart. He loves being around people, happily soaks up attention, and is an all-around goofy guy.

We’re not entirely sure of Busta’s age, but we estimate he’s around 5 years old. While he does bark at other dogs, he hasn’t shown any negative reactions—just wants to make his presence known! With the right introductions and some time, we’re confident he’ll do well with other dogs.

Since we don’t know his past, we can’t say for certain how he does with cats or kids. However, because of his size, a home with children who understand that he might accidentally knock them over (and not hold it against him!) would likely be the best fit.

Busta is still waiting for his neuter, but that doesn’t stop us from accepting adoption applications! He’s sure to make someone the best big lap dog ever.
