Burma's Story

Burma / F / 1 year / 47lbs / Collie mix / Owen Sound

Burma is a diamond in the ruff. She is very quiet, gentle and sweet. She is working on building her confidence though but has already made a lot of progress in foster care! We know with continued support and patience from her adopters, she has so much potential to become a self assured lady! Burma absolutely loves the snow! She enjoys playing with other dogs and burrowing in the snow. She is not too fond of the car, but is getting more comfortable.

Burma is potty trained and crate trained. She is nervous of walking on leash in busy areas. She is currently working on basic commands and is medium energy. Burma is a shy girl and is nervous when meeting new people. Slow introductions are important for her. Once she warms up to you though, she will love you so much. She is also nervous of loud noises and sudden movements.

Burma is looking for a quiet home in a quiet area, with a family who'll be patient with her and continue to help her build trust and confidence. She would be fine with kids 16+. She loves other dogs and would benefit from having a confident dog to show her the ropes. She's fine with cats, but may chase active cats in play.

If you think that you would be a good fit for Burma, please complete an adoption application on our website.
