Bunny's Story

Bunny was brought in as a stray and was never reclaimed. She's a sweet, gentle girl who does well with dogs, kids, and strangers. She hasn't paid much attention to her doggy neighbors and tends to be calm and polite.
Bunny is housebroken and crate trained, and she did well being left alone. She rode great in the car, did well for her bath, and while she pulls a little on the leash, she's easy to manage. She loves to play and cuddle, and she had no accidents.
She can be a bit nervous in the shelter environment, so her full personality hasn't had a chance to shine just yet. Bunny is an escape artist, so she will need a secure fence if she'll be spending time outside.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention.

Erath County Humane Society's Adoption Policy
When someone comes in wanting to adopt, we first ask what they are looking for in a new pet. If they can describe what they are looking for, we will make some suggestions based on that criteria, and then let them go through the shelter looking at the adoptable animals. There are kennel cards on each kennel with information specific to that animal. Once they find an animal they are interested in we do a meet and greet with the person interested in adopting. If they have other pets, we recommend a meet and greet with current pets as well. Whatever animal the potential adopter chooses, we highly suggest a 5 day foster period to make sure the animal and the adopter are a good fit.
