Bun Bun's Story

Currently in foster in NYC but can go anywhere in the Northeast. Bun Bun is an approximately 8-month-old, 50-lb young dog who is incredibly smart and full of potential. He’s still very much a puppy, but one with a brain that needs to be engaged. Bun Bun thrives with structure and routine and would absolutely shine in a home that can give him a “job,” such as agility, structured training, scent work, or another dog sport or enrichment-focused activity.

He has made great progress with self-soothing skills and learning boundaries, especially with consistency and clear expectations. Like most puppies his age, he still has some mouthy behavior, but he redirects well and continues to improve as his training progresses.

Bun Bun is learning leash manners and is making steady improvements. He has also done well riding in the car so far, which is a great bonus for an active family. He has not been tested with cats at this time.

He would do best in a home with dog-savvy, bigger kids who want to be involved in his training and can help reinforce his routine. Bun Bun is looking for adopters who understand that smart, driven puppies need guidance, outlets for their energy, and ongoing training to grow into their best selves.

If you’re looking for a young dog who is eager to learn, loves working with people, and has the potential to excel with the right structure, Bun Bun may be the perfect fit.
