Bullseye's Story
1/2 Update:
🎯 Meet Bullseye, the Jackpot Dog 🎯

If you're looking for a sure thing, Bullseye is it. 💙
This one-year-old, 50-pound sweetheart is all about love, affection, and being as close to his people as possible. He's been at our shelter for 8 long weeks, pent up with energy to burn. Because of this, he's bursting at the seams with energy when he's let out initially. I can't blame him.

Bullseye is very dog friendly, people friendly, and has the softest coat that practically begs for hugs. And trust us... he will ask for them. He kept hopping up on the bench just to wrap himself into a cuddle. Total couch-dog potential. Total big baby energy.

He's incredibly well-mannered and gentle, even if he hasn't learned "sit" just yet (that just means you get to teach him 😉). When it comes to cats, he showed a little curiosity outside, but once a cat let him know who was boss, Bullseye immediately became very submissive and politely decided cats were not his thing. Message received. Loud and clear.

Bullseye is soft, sweet, affectionate, and ready to be someone's best friend. A true jackpot dog just waiting for the right home to cash in. 🐾💙

********************************************************************************************************

Four confused brothers. One big reset button.🥹

That's the story of Arrow, Buck, Bullseye, and Hunter...four 1-year-old boys who were surrendered together.

These guys have probably never had leashes, walks, routines, or "normal dog life." When we tried to take them outside, they all did the same thing: hit the brakes, pancake on the floor, and wiggle around like we'd asked them to walk the plank. So we gently lifted them into our arms and carried them out to the play yard. Every single one.

But here's the thing:
Once they're outside? They bloom.🌼
Every one of them is sweet, friendly, dog-social, and just trying to figure out this whole "world" thing. They're not broken. They're just beginners.

Meet the crew:

🤎🤍 Buck - white with brown spots, goofy, gentle, and quick to trust.
🤎 Hunter - brown with a white streak running right down his forehead and nose, like someone painted it on.
🟤 Bullseye - brown with adorable pointy ears that deserve their own fan club.
🟤 Arrow - the brown baby of the bunch, soft eyes and the sweetest little soul.

All four boys are unneutered (which we will take care of before they leave our shelter), 1 year old, friendly as can be, and completely new to what most dogs take for granted. With a little patience, a few treats, and some short daily leash sessions, they're going to thrive.

They didn't get the start they deserved, but they're here now and ready for families who will show them how good life can actually be.

Come meet Arrow, Buck, Bullseye, and Hunter.
Their hearts are huge... they just need someone willing to help them take those first brave steps. 🐾

Come by the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter and ask staff to help you meet one or two of these fellas, Wednesday - Saturday, 12-5pm or Sunday, 12-4pm. Or fill out an adoption application online and let us know you're interested --> https://www.moaspets.com/adoptionappPlease call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.

Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.

Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
Fees:
Dogs over 6 months old: $100
Puppies under 6 months: $200.
Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip).

For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Join us on Facebook at
https://www.facebook.com/moaspets. It's a great way to stay up to the minute on the furry 4 legged friends we have looking for a loving forever home.
We are located at:
1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd
Danielsville, GA 30633
706-795-2868

NOTE: Our adoptions are first come first served, simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you, you must come meet the animal in person in order to be considered for adoption.
If you rent you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
