Bugsy's Story

Bugsy's story is crazy - and he is not officially in our rescue yet but we are networking him and plan to take him in once we get enough donations for his training.

Bugsy was found by a Good Samaritan running through the streets of DTLA. She had no choice but to drop him at the shelter. After two months, they needed to euthanize him but luckily this same Good Samaritan found him an adopter. This family had a kid and a dog (he was totally fine living with both), but they returned him to the shelter. He was then adopter and returned again due to the couple having a baby and no space or time for him. This Good Samaritan then pulled him out of the shelter and he has been living tied up in the parking lot of a restaurant ever since. It makes sense why he has no leash manners yet.... he's had no training, no consistency, he gets no walks or mental stimulation. He sits in this parking lot all day.

Once we raise enough funds, find a foster family, or even an adopter, we will send him to board and train where he will learn the fundamentals of walking on a leash.

Bugsy is a very smart dog. He learns fast, he's athletic, young, loyal and very sweet. He will do great in a breed experienced home or someone willing to learn from Bugsy's future trainer and give him all the exercise, structure and love he could ever want :)
