Bugs's Story
Adoptable Bugs is named after Bugs Bunny, since she has some of the biggest, silliest ears we’ve ever seen on a puppy! (though her ears only pop up on special occasions) ?

5-month-old Bugs came to the shelter as a stray. She was so scared of everything — like loud noises, sudden movements, and meeting new people. But once Bugs warms up to you, her favorite things are a good scratch behind the ears, playing with stuffed toys, getting crazy zoomies around the yard, and going on long walks where she can sniff everything.

Although Bugs has made tremendous strides in her socialization, she can still get easily spooked in new situations, so she’d do best with a calm, quiet home. Since she’s still a puppy, she may also do well with another dog to show her the ropes and help her feel safe. Bugs is also a petite girl and only weighs 24 pounds, so we’re not sure how much larger she’ll get.

If you’re interested in adopting bashful Bugs, please email animalservices@greenbeltmd.gov or call 301-474-6124 for more information.
