Meet Bugaboo!<br/><br/>Bugaboo is a 7-year-old Shepherd mix with a big personality, an adventurous spirit, and an even bigger heart. She may be a little stubborn and she definitely has opinions of her own, but for the people who take the time to build a relationship with her, Bugaboo is fiercely loyal and incredibly loving.<br/><br/>This girl is the perfect combination of adventure buddy and lovable couch potato. When it's time to get out and explore, Bugaboo is ready to go! She loves car rides, going on adventures, dipping her toes in the water, and even running alongside our bike. We have a feeling she'd absolutely love to try skijoring with her person too! <br/><br/>But once the adventures are over, Bugaboo is more than happy to hang out and relax. In the home, she's a total love bug. She loves curling up on the couch with her people, settling in for a good nap, and if you're willing to share the bed, she's more than happy to snooze alongside you. She really does love being close to the people she trusts.<br/><br/>Bugaboo hasn't always had the stable home life she deserved. She spent a lot of time roaming outdoors, and we believe that experience contributed to her developing a defensive response toward other dogs. Because of this, Bugaboo will need to be the only dog in the home.<br/><br/>Her future family will need to be willing to help her slowly build confidence and learn that she doesn't need to react to dogs she encounters. Bugaboo may not be the dog who wants to be best friends with every dog she meets, and that's okay. Her goal can simply be learning that other dogs can exist in her world without feeling like a threat. With patience, consistency, clear boundaries, and someone who makes her feel safe, we believe she can continue making progress toward neutrality.<br/><br/>And once Bugaboo trusts you, you have a friend for life. She looks to her people for connection and guidance, and the bond she forms with someone she trusts is incredibly special. Beneath all those opinions and that big Shepherd personality is a dog who just wants to feel safe, loved, and understood.<br/><br/>Bugaboo is looking for someone who can appreciate all of her sides: the adventurous side, the goofy side, the stubborn side, and especially the sweet who just wants to snuggle with her person.
