Bug is an 8-year-old Chihuahua who recently joined Our House of Hope after her previous owner passed away. She came to us through Animal Control and has clearly known love—she’s incredibly people-oriented and eager to bond. Bug previously lived with other dogs and has been very sweet with everyone she’s met so far.<br/><br/>Bug has two bad knees, which can make her a bit wobbly, but she manages well with medical management and would greatly benefit from a leaner body weight. Her ideal home will help her maintain a healthy lifestyle with limited jumping (think stairs and furniture) and a comfy setup that keeps things low to the ground.<br/><br/>She’s a curious little shadow who loves to follow you around the house, curl up for snuggles, and soak in all the belly rubs you’re willing to offer. She may bark when startled or unsure, but overall, Bug has shown herself to be gentle, loving, and very much ready for her next chapter.<br/><br/>Bug is looking for a calm, compassionate home where she can thrive with a bit of support and a lot of love.
