Buffy's Story

Buffy is a bright, affectionate snuggle bug who loves nothing more than being near her people. She happily cuddles on the couch, loves relaxing with the kids during reading or school time, and believes “helping hold the couch down” is an important job! She is incredibly people-focused, eager to please, and cheese is her absolute favorite training reward.

Buffy is housetrained, kennel trained, walks nicely on leash (best with a harness), and rides well in the car. She loves learning, enjoys mental challenges, and is very responsive—even with kids as her trainers. She would absolutely thrive in training classes, games, and puzzle activities.

Because Buffy is a heeler, she has a strong prey drive and should not live with cats, rabbits, or other small animals. Buffy doesn’t care for rude or pushy dogs but does fine with polite, well-mannered dogs and a proper introduction. She will happily let you know her boundaries.

Buffy would do wonderfully in a home with children or a busy family that enjoys including their dog in daily life. She’s happiest when she’s loved, involved, and getting plenty of snuggles and attention.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/how-to-adopt
