Do you like tippy-tappy feet? Tigger-like bounces? Well I'm your guy. I'm Buddy, the happiest dog you'll ever meet. Some of my favorite things are playing, cuddling, walks, kids, ear scratches, belly rubs, sunbathing, and meeting new friends! I love to go on adventures and explore new places but I also love chilling at home with my people. My ideal match is someone who will love me and rub my belly. I'm crate-trained but I don't need to be crated when you aren't home because I'll just nap and wait to greet you at the door. I am very smart and very trainable. My foster mom said she has seen me learn new things in a day! (Am I a genius?) I'm ~8 years old and 62lbs. I prefer slow introductions to new dogs, but I'm told that I'm a good judge of character and I do enjoy a good play session once I've had a chance to read the room. Because I'm a black dog, I have been overlooked online and stuck in rescue for far too long despite my amazing personality. I think my black fur is fashionable and chic. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
