Buddy Oak's Story

Meet Buddy – a resilient pup with a heart as big as his name suggests!

Buddy came to us from a hoarding situation down south, where life wasn't always kind. He carries a few scars as reminders of his rough past, but those only make his gentle spirit shine brighter. Despite everything, Buddy has remained friendly with both dogs and people.

This handsome boy has been neutered, vaccinated, and is ready to finally enjoy the good life with a family who will love and spoil him. He currently spends his days hanging out with his Foster mom while she works from home and doesn't make a peep on work calls - the perfect coworker! While he is off WFH duty, he LOVES to go on walks to practice his leash skills with his foster mom and foster dog sister. He is also practicing his basic commands including: 'sit' (does that perfectly for treats/food), 'stay' and 'Buddy come.'

Buddy is all about his people—he loves deeply and sometimes just needs a reminder about his manners. At adoption events, he's especially drawn to older kids, happily following them around for love and attention.

In his foster homes, Buddy has shown he can be a little slower to warm up to the male head of the household, but with patience he learns to trust. He prefers to listen to female handler and will need at least one woman in his household! He's not a huge fan of crates, but once he feels safe and settled, he does just fine relaxing outside of one.

The great news—he seems to be potty trained!

Buddy's looking for a family that understands his past, appreciates his loyalty, willing to continue improving his leash skills and manners, and give him the secure, loving home he's always deserved.

Www.brownpawsrescue.com 412-177.ds

**Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee. www.brownpawsrescue.com.
