Buddy Oak's Story

Meet Buddy – the 3 year old lab mix with a personality that fits his name perfectly

Buddy had a rough past but truly lives in the moment and is a very happy and sweet boy. Buddy is looking for the perfect family who is committed to consistent training to help him build confidence. Buddy is nervous around men - he does okay if his foster mom is around but is very unsure of men in a 1:1 enviroment. Buddy is working with a trainer (who is a man) and we believe through confidence building and a man taking an active role in training him (after buttering him up with lots of treats), he will bond and see the man as a "pack leader."

He currently spends his days hanging out with his Foster mom while she works from home and doesn't make a peep on work calls - the perfect coworker! While he is off WFH duty, he LOVES to go on walks to practice his leash skills. He is leash reactive to other dogs (does fine off leash), is very strong and needs a strong handler. Trainer has also worked with him on his leash reactivity - which will be managable through consistent training.

Buddy is not a fan of creates and does fine as long as there is no food for him at access! He sleeps on a dog bed in the living room.

This handsome boy has been neutered, vaccinated, potty trained and is ready to finally enjoy the good life with a family who will love and spoil him. Buddy loves kids and they love him. Does good with other dogs but is still learning how to play. No cats!

Buddy's looking for a patient family that understands his past, is willing to continue with his training, and give him the secure, loving home he's always deserved.

Www.brownpawsrescue.com 412-177.ds

**Dog breeds listed are best guesses from veterinary professionals, they are never a guarantee. www.brownpawsrescue.com.
