Buddy

Buddy is a 7-year-old boy who came to us from a breeder where he was used to make beautiful babies. He is currently around 26 pounds and is doing well trying to learn all the ins and outs of being a pet in a home. <br/><br/>He is good around other dogs and would benefit from another dog to show him the ins and outs of being a pet. He is doing good on learning to potty outside, he is kennel trained but does well being left out with the other dogs in the home when his foster is away. He does have a small amount of anxiety when she leaves and can be a bit barky for a short time so he would not do well in a shared wall environment. He also does not walk well on harness and leash yet, so for that reason a fenced yard will be required for his new home too. <br/><br/>He loves a good place to lay in the sun and catch some rays and is looking for a home that will love him and help him be the best dog he can be. He is a little bit head strong so he will need an owner that can give love but also give boundaries and do some training. He has had all his vaccines and a dental cleaning and is ready to meet his new owner, let us know if that might be you. <br/><br/>All our dogs are current on vaccinations which include Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella. They are spayed and or neutered, have been fecal tested and heartworm tested, and had a dental cleaning if necessary. They are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative as needed in rescue. They all will have a microchip that will be registered in the adopter's name and is good for a lifetime with no additional fees. <br/><br/>The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home inspection, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for all our dogs is $400.<br/><br/>We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs do not require a fence, if they can walk well on harness and leash. This is decided by what is best for each dog individually.) <br/><br/>We are willing to adopt to out-of-state applicants, but you must travel to the foster home location of your dog which is in Omaha or within a 90-minute drive from the Omaha area to meet and travel home with your dog.
