Buddy Creekmore's Story

Meet Buddy Creekmore, a two-year-old Pit mix weighing 54 pounds.

Buddy’s world turned upside down recently. He came to us after his owner was arrested, and the person who was supposed to come get him never showed. Now, this sweet boy finds himself confused, unsure, and trying to figure out what’s next.

It’s no surprise that Buddy is feeling a little shaken—he’s been through a lot in a short time. He needs someone who understands that healing takes time, and who’s willing to go slow and let him come out of his shell at his own pace.

What Buddy really needs now is some good old-fashioned TLC. A soft place to land, a calm and patient human, and a safe space to start over. With consistency, kindness, and time, we believe Buddy will begin to trust again and show the loving, loyal dog we know is in there.

If you have a big heart and a little extra patience, Buddy Creekmore just might be the one who needs you most right now.

This pet is available for adoption on 10/13/2025 at 2:21 PM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center.
