BUDDY's Story

Meet Buddy

Buddy is as loyal and loving as his name suggests. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be your constant companion, your shadow, and your very best friend. Wherever you go, Buddy will happily follow, just to be near his person.

Buddy is a true survivor with a big heart. His foster lovingly calls him a “Friday dog” — a perfectly unique mix of everything. Buddy is one-of-a-kind personality.

This sweet boy lives for the simple joys in life: chasing squirrels in the yard, keeping watch for “intruders,” and curling up next to you at night. He’s fully house-trained with a doggy door and zips in and out all day like it’s his full-time job.

Buddy can be a little sensitive, especially in new situations. Car rides still make him nervous, but he settles once he’s in and is happy to join you on outings like walks at the beach. He’s currently working on his leash skills and does great using a gentle leader, staying close and connected to his handler.

He would thrive in a home with another friendly, young-ish dog to help boost his confidence and give him a playmate. That said, Buddy could also do well as an only dog in a home where someone is around most of the time — he truly just wants companionship and love.

With patience, structure, and a whole lot of affection, Buddy will reward his person with unwavering loyalty and devotion. He’s the kind of dog who forms a deep bond and will be right by your side through everything.

If you’re looking for a sweet, unique, and deeply devoted companion, Buddy just might be your perfect match.

If you’re interested in meeting Buddy, please visit www.aarflove.org
to review our adoption process and submit an application.

Please note: We receive many wonderful applications and may not be able to respond to everyone. If we feel you might be a match, we’ll reach out directly. Thank you for supporting rescue!

All Animal Rescue & Friends (AARF)'s Adoption Policy
All of our pets are spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if applicable, dewormed, deflead and microchipped, PRIOR to adoption. Our cats are Felv/Fiv tested as well. Our adoption amounts: DOGS 6 months and older ~ $400 PUPPIES younger than 6 months ~ $500. CATS and KITTENS 6 months older ~ $150. KITTENS younger than 6 months ~ $200. If you find a pet you would like to meet, please visit our website at www.aarflove.org to submit an application. We do not do actual adoptions at our events; the events are for applicants to meet our adoptable animals and for us to meet potential adopters. It's important to submit an application to be considered for adoption. Our animals are also not "first come, first serve" and forever homes are always chosen based on the best fit for each animal. All of our animals are in private foster homes so attending one of our events or by meet and greets, is the best way to get to know our adoptable pets.
