Meet Buddy - the sweet, smiley boy who truly smiles! Yes, it's real - and we'll be honest, his grin looks a little like an aggressive face, but don't let it fool you. Buddy is a gentle, loving German Shepherd/Husky mix with a heart of gold. Just a little over a year old and weighing 33 lbs (a bit underweight), this boy walks nicely on leash and gets along great with other dogs. Buddy came from a rough situation where he lived with several dogs - his mom, his siblings, and even some "cousins." We tried to take them all, but Buddy was the only one the owners agreed to surrender. Thankfully, we were at least able to provide dewormer, spay/neuter services, and other medical care to the dogs who had to stay behind. Even without much formal training, Buddy is a natural learner who wants to please. He's incredibly gentle, sweet, and so eager to be loved. This boy is ready for a fresh start, a full belly, and a family who will appreciate his happy, one-of-a-kind smile. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative - now he just needs a home to call his own.
