Buddy's Story

Buddy is a special guy. He is an 8-year-old male terrier, maybe Border Terrier or Norwich Terrier mix. He has been in and out of the shelter numerous times, due to his owner’s health. The last time the owner brought Buddy to the shelter was when he was going into the hospital. Unfortunately, the shelter was unsuccessful in getting in touch with his owner after calling hospitals for weeks.

The first time Buddy was brought to the shelter he had been hit by a car. He suffered a neck injury wasn’t fond of being handled. After being back at the shelter a third time, he grew to trust shelter staff and allowed handling all over. Buddy gave kisses and sought out attention, where before he didn’t. He is still unsure of fast movements but recovers well. He enjoys being around other dogs, but he does best with females. Buddy would also be ok as an only dog. He likes to play fetch, go for walks and sleeping in bed with you. He loves to carry around a toy in his mouth which we find very adorable! Buddy is housetrained, is recently neutered and had a complete dental. He is all tuned up and ready to fine his forever home!

Buddy is the epitome of resilience, he hasn't had an easy life, but he is more than willing to keep trying. We just need someone willing to give this sweet boy another chance. We think Buddy will thrive once in his forever home with lots of love, patience, and security.

If you would like more information contact JP at 831-359-1357. ? www.capeanimals.org/adoption-application
