Buddy's Story

My name is Buddy, and I'm a three-year-old black Lab mix. My foster mom says I weigh about 54 pounds, which feels just right. I've got a good life here in the country, even if my left eye doesn't work so well. Doesn't bother me much, though. I still see plenty!

The best part of my day is definitely my walk. Mom used to clip a leash on my collar, and I was a good boy, trotting along beside her. Now, she trusts me to stay close, and I do. It's a big world out there, filled with smells and sounds. Sometimes Mom throws a ball, and I’ll chase after it, but mostly I enjoy just sniffing around.

Food is also a high point. I love to eat! Mom makes sure I get just the right amount of kibble for a dog my size. She's a good provider. And twice a day, after my meals, I get a couple of those small dog biscuits. They're crunchy and delicious! I've even been for a few truck rides. I stick my head out the window and let the wind blow through my fur. It’s exhilarating! This place is great. I have a big backyard to roam around in...they call me a country dog.

When night comes, I bunk up with my best pal in our big dog cage. It’s a comfortable end to a good, full day. I wouldn't trade my life for anything. This is my family, my home, and my country life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
