Buddy's Story
Meet Buddy!
Buddy was rescued off the streets in late March, clearly having been through a rough time. He had visible injuries from what appeared to be a dog attack and was severely underweight from dehydration and lack of proper nutrition. It was also evident that Buddy had experienced physical abuse, as he was initially very wary-especially of men.

But with patience and love, Buddy has made incredible progress. He has slowly learned to trust again and now interacts confidently with both children and adult males. He no longer growls to protect his foster mom and is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.

Buddy is extremely affectionate and genuinely believes he's a lap dog-even at 50 pounds! One of his most endearing traits is his love for toys. He happily fetches his favorite ball (just a bit smaller than a tennis ball and perfectly chewy) and proudly brings it back. He also adores belly rubs, lounging under shade trees, snack time, and-of course-his daily naps.

Buddy does have one big fear: thunder and lightning. Storms make him very anxious, so he must be kept indoors where he feels safe and secure during those times.

Buddy has come a long way from his days on the street and is ready to find a forever home where he can continue to heal, feel safe, and be loved unconditionally.

Buddy's adoption fee is $200. This fee covers his vaccinations, heartworm testing, microchip and neuter.

To meet Buddy fill out an adoption application at lucky13rescue.org.
