Buddy

Buddy is a sweet senior male dog, who originally came from the Yakima Humane Ellensburg Shelter and was taken in by someone who saw he needed some extra help. They asked if JMR could help if they fostered him. Buddy needed a little more than the shelter could provide. He required medical treatment for his legs and dental work. The shelter does not have the resources for medical treatment so the person looking after him worked with us to get him transferred to us. It helps that we work closely with the shelter already and have a good relationship so we can help those that require some extra care. And his caregiver has done a great job fostering. He has now been medically cleared and is ready for his new home. <br/><br/>Buddy is very easy going, likes to sleep, and loves his chew toys and every person he meets. He likes walks and uses a Halti collar. He does well with short walks due to his hips/legs, although he would like to go further. He is good with cats, kids, and small dogs, but not so much with big dogs. He’s a bit picky about his treats, but loves chicken! <br/><br/>He is kennel and potty trained, has had no accidents in his foster home.
