Buddy

Buddy came in as an owner surrender on 6-3-26. <br/>Buddy is 4 years old and loves to play with squeaky balls and run around. He is a little nervous with new people but he warms up really quickly. He really wants to love people. We are still working on leash walking; he is very strong so someone with a fenced yard or room to run would be ideal for him. He loves treats and loves to be near you. Per his previous owner he is housebroken, crate trained and nondestructive when left alone in the home and liked to sleep on the couch. He really just wants to get back into a nice home of his own. <br/><br/>Now the part where we beg you to still come meet him:<br/>Buddy is recovering from a papilloma infection- basically a dog only virus that causes warts. His body should eventually fight it off and he will clear the infection. <br/>This virus is nontransferable to humans but can be spread to other dogs (not cats) if they touch or lick the warts before they heal. At this point, his warts are mostly healed as the body eventually builds up immunity to them and can fight off the infection. He is available for adoption, but we are still recommending a home with no other dogs at this time until his warts are completely gone.
