Buddy is aptly named; he is so ready to be someone's best buddy. He loves people and wants to be near you all the time. He is sweet and soft and loves to be pet and doesn't realize he is a bit heavy for a lap dog. He has nice manners, doesn't beg at the table, knows sit, walks nicely on a leash and so far, no squirrel or bunny has tempted him. He is house trained, sleeps quietly in his kennel all night. He seldom barks unless he hears a knock at the door. He eats well and hates his diet food, but he is not careful about what else he might eat, so trash needs to be out of his reach. He is not impressed with fast small kids and needs to be with adults or perhaps older respectful kids. We haven't cat tested him yet. He and the resident dog mutually ignore each other. He loves car rides and joining us on adventures and does fine at a community events. Buddy is so ready to be a very best friend for someone. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
