Buddy's Story

Buddy’s journey with us started in a way we wish it hadn’t. He was dropped off at our shelter after hours after being found roaming as a stray. No goodbye, no backstory, just a young dog suddenly starting over. However, if Buddy is dwelling on it, he certainly doesn’t show it.

This boy loves people. Truly loves them. He greets you like an old friend and soaks up attention any chance he gets. Buddy has an upbeat personality and can be energetic at times, but that youthful spark is part of his charm. He would thrive with a family that enjoys an active, happy dog who is ready to be part of the action.

Buddy does great with other dogs, which makes him a wonderful option for a multi dog household. He seems to enjoy canine companionship and plays well with others. He also appears to be house trained, which is a huge bonus for anyone looking to make the transition home a little smoother.

Buddy’s story may have started with uncertainty, but his future does not have to. He is a good boy with a big personality, ready to trade shelter life for a couch, a yard, and people to call his own.

Buddy weighs 54 pounds at 2 years old. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested negative for heartworm disease.

Located at the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee.
