Buddy's Story

**Buddy is in foster care, if interested you need to set up an appointment with the shelter so they can coordinate with the foster to bring him in for a meet and greet.**

Buddy is the kind of dog who wakes up smiling and stays that way all day. At 11 years young, he’s a joyful, gentle soul who loves everyone he meets—people, dogs, and even cats are all welcome in his world. He’s especially famous for his fetch skills, particularly when rubber ducky toys are involved. Toss one, and you’ll have a very devoted retriever on your hands!

Buddy is incredibly loving but also wonderfully patient. He enjoys attention and affection, yet he’s perfectly content to wait his turn or relax by your side. He’s still polishing his potty-training skills, but he’s doing a good job going outside and is eager to keep learning with a little consistency and encouragement.

Health-wise, Buddy is feeling good and enjoying life. He does have a healed broken jaw from an old abscessed tooth—it’s not causing him pain right now, but it’s something that may need attention down the road. Because of this, he may eventually need a very special dental to address some periodontal disease.
Otherwise, Buddy is overall healthy and thriving in his golden years.

If you’re looking for a sweet, happy companion who will greet every day (and every person) with pure joy—and proudly bring you a rubber ducky—Buddy might just be your perfect match.
