Buddy's Story

Buddy came to us from a local rescue, where he was due to escaping fences we believe. He was underweight but oh so sweet. He was an escapee there, so to ensure he would have the best future possible and a successful adoption, he came to Shalom Sanctuary to stay to mature and have professional training.

He is around 2 years old, up to date on vaccines, is microchipped, and neutered. He is easy-going and absolutely loves to please you. He’s very loyal. He loves to play and would be ideal for an active family that is younger, mainly because he’s large and just doesn’t know his size. We have not tested him with cats, but we have tested him with children and he is great with them, he just sometimes doesn’t know his size.

His higher fee is due to getting him completely crate trained, potty training, consistently groomed once a month, and taught on a special training collar that allows him to run around off leash in your yard, without having to worry about him running away due to his curious nature. He knows come, sit, place, down, and heel. He also understands a command to stop any unwanted behaviors. The family or individual that is approved for adoption will be trained on his commands and how to keep them up. He is a gentle boy and has the cutest ears.

Age: 2 years, 3 months
Breed: Retriever/Husky/Shepherd
Sex: Neutered male
Kid Friendly: Yes
Trained: Yes
Adoption Fee: $250

To learn more about Buddy or schedule a meet and greet, contact Shalom Sanctuary and Animal Rescue at:

Phone: (214) 480-4806
Email: shalomsanctuary1@gmail.com
Website: https://shalom-sanctuary.org/

*All adoptable dogs at Shalom Sanctuary have been trained by Expert Dog Training. Shalom Sanctuary and Animal Rescue CO's Adoption Policy
The adoption process requires an adoption application, review of the application including calling references (including a vet), interviewing the applicant, and a home study. We are professional trainers as well so we go over all issues that might arise in bringing a new dog home and include training support as well, and meet and greets to determine if placement with each applicant is desirable and beneficial for all parties involved. We closely look at facility lives in and fencing avaliable, amount of time home, etc. Then a adoption fee is obtained, and training is done with client and dog upon adoption. 2
