Buddy came from a sad situation where he was being kept outside, barely fed, and generally wasn't treated very nicely. One of our amazing southern rescue fosters discovered his situation and took him in and he has been full of joy ever since! He's about to get settled into his northern foster home but so far, we know that he thinks he's a lap dog :D He spent some time gaining weight and getting used to the good life, and also learned potty & crate training (he enjoys his crate as his "safe space" to relax). He would love an active family that will spend some time exploring the beautiful New England outdoors with him and then giving and receiving LOTS of snuggles! He has great manners when it comes to waiting for his food or telling you he has to potty. He gets along well with other dogs and kids, but he is an excited happy boy that may jump to give hugs, so older kiddos are best. He is so full of joy and love and just can't wait to share it with you!

Does Buddy sound like the sweetie for you? New England Lab Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process... Our goal is to find the best match based on the Lab’s background and the family’s needs. The temperament and energy level of the dog are our most important consideration. We also consider factors in the home, including the ages of children, ages of pets in the home, and other types of pets in the home. When we have an appropriate rescue Lab in a foster home, the placement coordinator will discuss the rescue Lab in detail with the applicant, or the applicant may talk directly with the foster “parent”. We want our adoptions to be 100% successful! Requirements • Adopters must complete an application. • If, for any reason, the adoption is not satisfactory, the Lab must be returned to NELR as stated in the Adoption Agreement. • New England Lab Rescue reserves the right to take possession of a rescue Lab that is
