Buddy's Story

Pop Up Promo! ACC is over capacity, so I'm currently living in a pop up crate. My adoption fee is waived, and my adoption comes with a $50 Chewy gift card.

Meet Buddy!Buddy is a sweet, sensitive boy who is still figuring out the busy world around him. He was found as a stray, so we don't know much about his past, but he's shown us that there's a gentle, wiggly pup underneath his initial uncertainty. When given time and encouragement, Buddy will approach his people and is happiest when he gets to take things at his own pace.

My Ideal HomeBuddy would love a calm, patient home where he can decompress and build confidence without being rushed. The more Buddy learns that he has choices and that good things happen when he approaches, the more his sweet personality can shine.

Good with Other Pets?Buddy's history with other dogs is unknown. Any introductions should be slow, thoughtful, and supervised, with plenty of time for Buddy to feel comfortable in his new surroundings first.

Good with Kids?Because Buddy can be unsure during handling and new interactions, we recommend a home without young children. Older, dog-savvy family members who understand how to give a sensitive pup space may be a better fit.

Things to KnowBuddy can be a little shy and may move away when something feels overwhelming, but he also approaches with a very wiggly, sweet demeanor once he feels more comfortable. He should never be rushed into affection or handling and will do best when he gets to choose when to come closer. He's also a no-pulling kind of guy on leash, making him a lovely candidate for relaxed walks once he's settled in.
