BUDDY

Buddy recently arrived and is looking for a soft place to land. He is a middle aged male who had a life filled with abuse until he arrived at a small shelter in a rural part of TN. He had not been shown much kindness in his life and was lacking in social skills as well. The Shelter was able to get him into the very capable hands of an experienced foster for over a month, and she got headed in the right direction for sure. Buddy wants to be a buddy for sure. He is very happy to hang out with people he trusts. He is good on a leash, but is a low energy kind of guy, happy with shorter strolls and sniff sessions. He is happiest just hanging out with his person. He is good with cats and the girl dogs he has met here. He is not fond of getting into a vehicle, and we are working on that, but that may always be the one thing he does not do willingly. He doesn't mind being lifted in, but at this point he is not a jump in and lets go kind of guy. Once he's in, he's fine. He loves attention, loves to be brushed, and doesn't mind nail trims, all of which are new experiences to him. He is a low key kind of guy looking for a special kind of patient home as he is giving this new way of living his best shot.
