Buddy was a stray living in the streets of Tijuana, charming all the neighborhood children. The child of a friend who lives in the neighborhood was very drawn to Buddy and wanted to adopt him, but their family already had so many dogs! So the family begged the rescue to take him off the streets into boarding. Buddy is currently living in a kennel outdoors in Tijuana, but he can be transported as far north as Los Angeles for the right adopter. Buddy has a serious, soulful face, but don’t let that fool you—once you play with him and show him some love, he lights up with joy. He’s leash trained, great meeting new people, and friendly with kids when introduced properly. He loves to play, has plenty of energy, and enjoys toys of all kinds. He gets along well with other dogs, isn’t territorial or skittish, and has a docile, affectionate side that loves to be pampered. Buddy will thrive with an adopter who can give him structure and guidance—he’ll need some basic obedience training, but he’s eager to please and ready to learn.
