Buckle's Story

Buckle and his brother were part of an unwanted little of puppies born in a rural town we help. The owner of their mother surrendered them to a shelter we help when they were very young. We were able to save them because one of our fosters agreed to bring them into her home. Buckle has been in our care since he was 5 weeks old, and he has completed his veterinary care. Now he’s ready to find his person.

Buckle is a very mellow pup. He likes to play but isn’t hyper. He is almost house trained and learning to potty outside. He is crate trained and leash trained. He loves other dogs and has been with children as young as 6. He is 5 months old and weighs 25 pounds. We think he’s a Cattle Dog mix. His mother weighs 35 pounds, so he’ll likely be a medium sized adult.

Buckle is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. He is also microchipped, heartworm negative and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Buckle can arrive in Waterford, Connecticut on 3/28. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application found here: https://throwadogabone.org/adopt.

We respond to all inquiries.
