Buckey's Story

Buckey was picked up as a stray and taken to the shelter in a rural town we help. The shelter was full, so he was going to be euthanized. We were able to save his life, because one of our awesome fosters brought Buckey into her home. He has completed his veterinary care, so he’s ready to find someone who will always love him!

Buckey is an outgoing and social boy. He is very treat motivated, so he will be a good pup to train and teach new things. He already knows how to sit on command. He is leash trained, house trained and crate trained too. He has been with children as young as 4, and he likes to play with them. He wants to play with the cats in his foster home, but hasn’t shown aggression toward them.

Buckey is being fostered with other dogs of various sizes, and he gets along with all of them. He weighs 45 pounds, and he is 11 months old. We think he’s a Lab mix.

Buckey is neutered, vaccinated for rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. He is also heartworm negative, microchipped and is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Buckey can arrive in Pennsylvania on 1/17. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out the application found here: https://throwadogabone.org/adopt

We respond to all inquiries.
