Buck's Story

Meet Buck!!!

Buck is an 11-month-old male dog weighing around 60 pounds who came to us from another shelter, so his history before arrival is unknown. Since being here, he’s been a social and engaging guy, often bringing his toys over to people as a friendly invitation to play or interact. Buck is currently learning “sit” and will benefit from continued practice as he matures. Because of his size and youthful enthusiasm, we recommend that all family members meet him prior to adoption.

Buck is still very much a young dog and is learning what’s expected of him in a home environment. He may do well with another dog playmate and could enjoy having a canine companion to help burn off energy and build confidence. Proper introductions are always important to ensure a good match.

Given his age, Buck will benefit from structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement training. A regular potty schedule will help him stay on track, and continued guidance will support his development into a well-mannered adult dog. With time, patience, and love, Buck has the potential to become a loyal and fun-loving companion.

He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives.
If you have further questions, please call the shelter at (517) 626-6060 or email our adoption staff at adoptions@AdoptLansing.org.
