Buck's Story

Hi! My name is Buck! I am a two year old Shepherd X and I absolutely love people! When I am with you all I want to do is be at your side and soak up any and aaalll the attention that you will give me! When I am leashed to go for walks I sometimes can get a bit too excited and can be a bit jumpy so if you have children I may not know my size and knock them over. With that being said however, I do love children, ! just need to be taught some manners! I have been known to chase cats and I cannot be on an acreage with goats. I love my freedom so much that no fence will contain my parkour skills so living in town is out of the question. I will 100% need an acreage life.

Peace River SPCA's Adoption Policy
We require an adoption application to be filled out for every animal before they can be adopted! If there is a specific animal you are interested in adding to your family please call us at 1-780-624-3633 and we would be happy to answer any questions! We offer trials as well! A trial is where you can take the furry friend you have been approved for home for up to 2 weeks to make sure that everything is a good fit before fully adopting them! A lot of our animals have come to us as strays so we don't have background information about many of the animals we have here with us, so we always encourage doing a trial before fully adopting just to make sure everyone can adjust to each other as it can be very stressful for some of them to leave the shelter and go to a new environment!
