Questions about our adoption process can generally be answered by reviewing the Adoption FAQ's.

Meet Buck, the energetic and playful 2-year-old pitbull/heeler mix! This charming black and white boy weighs 46 pounds and is bursting with enthusiasm. Living with three other dogs, Buck has developed strong social skills and gets along great with his canine companions.

While Buck loves dogs, he hasn't been friendly with cats or chickens in the past, and it's best to keep them out of his reach. However, he's fantastic with kids, having grown up with a 2-year-old, and he's gentle and playful around little ones.

Buck is house-trained and enjoys his freedom, not needing a crate. With a high energy level, he loves spending time outside in his 4-foot chain-link fenced yard, where he can run and play to his heart's content. Buck would thrive in a home with plenty of space for him to burn off energy.

While Buck isn't the best on a leash, he can walk nicely with a harness. He's a smart boy, knowing commands like SIT, ROLL OVER, and LAY DOWN. Buck loves attention from his owners and enjoys being the center of attention - just don't expect him to enjoy brushing!

If you're an active family or individual looking for a loyal companion to share adventures with, Buck might be the perfect fit. With his sweet, energetic, and playful nature, he'll bring joy and excitement to his forever home.

An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.

Thanks for thinking adoption and Good Luck!
