Buck's Story

Meet Buck, a handsome 1.5-year-old purebred German Wirehaired Pointer weighing around 50 pounds! This fun-loving boy is full of energy, personality, and a whole lot of love to give.

Buck is great with people and kids, and he already has some wonderful basics under his belt. He is kennel trained, leash trained, neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and microchipped. He also has a serious love for balls, toys, and retrieving, so if you enjoy playing fetch, Buck is ready to be your MVP!

As a young German Wirehaired Pointer, Buck is an active, intelligent boy who needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He is not the type of dog who will be happy sitting in a kennel or home alone all day with nothing to do. When he gets bored, he may turn cardboard boxes and other household items into his own personal demolition project. Buck needs an appropriate outlet for his energy and a person who understands that an active dog needs a job, a purpose, and plenty of engagement. Due to the breed Buck is not good with birds or smaller herd type animals.

Buck would thrive with an active individual or family who enjoys outdoor adventures, playing fetch, training, hiking, or other activities that keep his mind and body busy. Even better would be someone who has the time and consistency to make him part of their daily routine.

Buck has so much potential to be an incredible companion for the right person. He just needs someone who can match his energy, appreciate his breed’s needs, and give him the life he was meant to live!
