BUCHANAN (Buck)'s Story
BUCK IS BEAUTIFUL, GENTLE, EASY AND LOYAL

Buck came off the Yakama Indian Reservation as one of a litter of very young pups. Before coming to us, these pups spent the first parts of their lives, in another rescue's foster home where they were well fed and cared for but not given a great deal of one on one social time with humans. Because of this Buck is a little shy around strangers, when first meeting them. This wears off soon enough though, and then he is an "in your pocket" best buddy.

We cannot say for sure, what breed Buck is, but he is heavily boned and it is rumored, in the area his mom and the litter were discovered, a big Mastiff roamed freely. We have listed him as a German Shepherd, Bull-mastiff mix but in all probability, there could be anything going on in his genetics,

Buck is handsome. That is for sure. At 8 months old, he weighs around 70lbs and can be expected to grow for another 16 months, so if a big dog is not what you are looking for, Buck might not be your boy. He is great with other dogs, neither dominant or submissive but more curious and open to friendships. He is curious about cats but not aggressive. He is crate trained, good on a leash and continuing to get better, he is good in a vehicle once he is in it (getting in is still a learning process) He is not a barker, not an escape artist or suffering from any type of separation issues and would just like a nice calm home that enjoys occasional adventures, that reflects his personality. He could even be a good condo or apartment dweller as long as their are regular outdoor adventures, to the park, the mountains, the pub, the coffee shop or the pet store.

So if you were looking for a dog with some size, that is calm and chill, smart, gentle, loyal and drop dead gorgeous, go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and fill out the application.

Buck is up to date on five way and rabies vaccines, fecal tested for parasites and treated accordingly, microchipped, flea and tick free and neutered. All you need to do, as the old Purina commercials used to say, is "Add the love"

Adoption fee is $350

PLEASE NOTE*:

* We require notes from certified doctors when
requesting a dog as an ESA
*Inquiries submitted through Petfinder, are not the
same as applications submitted through our webpage.
*Yes we do out of state adoptions.
*No, we do not transport.
