Bubby's Story

We know Bubby has been through alot, but he can’t tell us what all happened to him. He was adopted from a shelter and didn’t get along with the other dog and taken to be euthanized on the 2nd day. 😔 Thankfully the vet had them surrender to another rescue. Then Bubby got adopted and slipped out of his leash the same day and was out on his own for almost a week, they had to trap him to get him back. He was there 2 days and they returned him. Then I took him in.
We have no idea what the scars on his back are from, a few on his head, looks like maybe chemical burns? On purpose or a really cheap and harsh flea prevention? We don’t know, but those are some thick scars in some areas, I doubt hair will ever grow back.
Bubby is good with the other dogs and then he’s not. Trying some CBD oil and a thundershirt for now. Exercise is definitely helping some, some fast walking and light jogging. This sweet boy has been through a lot and he’s going to need a patient person/family willing to give him the time he needs to decompress and gain his confidence . He’s very affectionate, the pics are of him in the car on the way home, he had just met me, that’s how he is. He likes to play with other dogs, he was caught on some security cameras playing with other dogs while he was on the lam for
those few days. So he’s sometimes good with other dogs? It breaks your heart to see his wounds/scars, it’s very clear he’s not had a lot of good in his life, it’s time to show him love and safety and stability and fun.
