Hi, I'm Bubba and I'm a perfect playmate for your playful dog! When I am with another dog, my eyes light up. My body wiggles in delight. My tail flops around this way and that, all happy-like. Sometimes I can be a little bit shy around people, but my heart just explodes with a playmate! Dog friends give me great pleasure and I am at my very best with a canine compadre.

My confidence could use a little building with people. But my confidence is through the woof when I have a dog pal showing me how to dog in the best way. The volunteers that are here taking care of me think that the best type of home and family for me is one with a built-in best dog friend. I have a good buddy here at Desert Haven that would love to be adopted with me if you don't have any dogs yet. And if you already have a dog, I can join your pack! For awhile I was even living with three other big, friendly, loving dogs and we all rollicked around playing and being lazy and enjoying life here at Desert Haven.

While living here I've been roommates with little dogs, big dogs, extra big dogs, and medium sized dogs and done well with every sized dog. I'm tall and 55 pounds. I have a beautiful physique, muscular and lean. I am a boy and I have great experiences with both boy and girl dog-friends. I have the easy ability to meet dogs in a friendly way and then am just ready to play and be buddies right off the bat.

One caveat: I've been roommates with a super alpha dog that made me feel a little uncomfortable. I am a submissive dog and he was so bossy that I got intimidated and cowered a bit so the volunteers at Desert Haven and I agree that the best type of doggie-sibling for me will be a playful fun dog that likes to have a good time together.

The over-arching message here is that while I am a Total Package on my own, I just shine with my friends. However, I must say, if I were in the good hands of someone who knows how to build confidence in a shy dog, I know I could excel as an only dog too! I'm a cutie-pie boy-pup and I am one-and-a-half-years-old. I am super sweet and darling, with a tender personality and have a soft and sensitive side to me. I am a kind-hearted pup that will love to snuggle up once we get to know each other. Treats are the way to my heart and I have been doing well learning some basic commands. Hint, have treats in your pocket and I'll shine like a diamond.

Here is another fun fact about me: I think water is super fun! I love to lay in my doggie pool and watch the birds. I love to splash around in the water and if you want to come into the water with me that would be so fun! It would be fun to kayak, swim, walk along the shoreline, go boating, spray me with the hose, buy me a doggie pool from Walmart, whatever! I just wanted you to know that I am a pup that enjoys the water.

I'm also pretty smart and treat-motivated so we'll have a good time training together. I have an adventurous spirit, so I think it could be fun to be a hiking dog, a hunting dog, and also a snuggle-up-with-Netfllix dog. Since I'm young, we'll have all the time in the world together to figure out exactly how we want to spend our weekends together. I cannot wait! I am very excited to grow up with a family that loves me and cherishes me. Are you my family? Love, Bubba
