Bruno's Story
Meet Bruno.
Bruno was pulled from the Guadalupe County Dog Pound after life on the streets left its mark on him. When we found him, he was tucked away in a kennel with bite wounds across his face — clear signs he had been attacked while surviving as a stray. Despite everything he’s been through, Bruno never lost his gentle spirit.
Now in foster care, Bruno is finally getting what he always deserved: safety, consistency, and love. And he is absolutely soaking it up. He’s a gentle giant with the softest soul. Once he trusts you (which doesn’t take long), he’ll lean into you, hug you, and completely melt your heart. He’s loyal, affectionate, and deeply grateful.
Bruno does great with other dogs, is wonderful with cats, and would make an incredible family dog. He appears to be a Pyrenees mix, but on the smaller side — around 50–60 lbs — making him the perfect “big dog” without being overwhelming.
Bruno is neutered and heartworm positive, but heartworm is NOT a death sentence. Our rescue will cover the full cost of his treatment and get him started — it simply requires medication and a little extra care for a short period of time.
What Bruno needs now is a forever home where he can finally relax, feel safe, and continue healing — inside and out.
